I’m a Queenslander through and through. I grew up on the Sunshine Coast and moved to Brisbane in 2009 to build and run my businesses.
I’ve led businesses as a director for eighteen years, and I still work at the front line of them. I’m a partner in Ben Moves Brisbane and Brisbane Business Relocations, two operations that together employ thirty-five people. Automateus isn’t theory from the sidelines. It comes from running real businesses with real payrolls and real pressure.
As artificial intelligence moved from headlines into everyday tools, I saw a commercial opportunity most owners were still watching from a distance. I decided to test it properly inside my own businesses.
The problem was clear. Like most growing operations, Ben Moves Brisbane carried a heavy administrative load: disconnected systems, duplicated effort and hours lost to work that added no value. I designed automations and custom software around exactly how we operate. The results changed the business.
Automation is often framed as replacing people. That isn’t what happened for us. We didn’t let anyone go. Instead, we moved people out of repetitive admin and into more productive roles across the business. Productivity and efficiency rose sharply, and our profit margins grew strongly as a result.

That success became Automateus. It started as a one-person venture, and today it’s a team of four full-time specialists bringing the same proven approach to other businesses. Along the way, this work has become a genuine passion. I really enjoy working alongside other business owners to help them bring this technology into their own systems.
I believe this shift is as significant as anything business has seen in a generation, and I expect it to disrupt small businesses everywhere. Every business will adopt it eventually. The real advantage goes to those who move first.
